Many of you Surf Photogs have trouble getting your shots in mags or sites where you aren't in the circle.  We will always post them here so step up and send us some.

Aug 9-11 2012 Ernesto brought us some nice small summer gliders with moderate winds.

Swells came early on thursday morning but wound down thrugh Sat.  It was mostl waist down to knee to thigh by Sat afternoon, but what a way to beat the heat.  It was a great day for beginers too as the paddle out was easy and the waves gentle enough to practice dropping in and getting to your feet.  Below are some frame grabs courtesy of Acuratz surfcam which is well worth the subscription.  Highly recommend any surfer sign up if you ride the upper coast.

March 21, 2012 brought some epic lined up swell wit decent offshores all day.  Thrus and Friday (if you knew where to dodge the ENE wind)had some nice remnants too!
Photo courtesy of Acuratz surfcam -thanks!

Many Good days of surf in January 2012 if you don't mind some fog and wetsuit, booties and gloves.  The fog has made photos pointless on many days. The continual winter cold fronts every few days after some on shore winds has groomed the waves at times when it didn't blow the swell down.

The photos below are from 1/21/2012 and as you can see it was foggy.  Many days bands of fog will come and go throughout the day.  This day had light westerly winds.  Many others had offshore or light winds out of the SSE. Second 2 shots are from 1/31/2012 when we had a break in the fog with nice sunny day sur!

12/5/11 Even better, cold and sweet!

Better than the previous post.  No spray as a wave broke in front of you.  Solid swell and decent offshores made this a real Aloha Monday for the upper coast!  This is the right way to start off the first full week of the month. Chest + on sets and only about 5 or so people out spread over several sand bars.

11/22/11

The right winds and some swell and look what we get!
Fall with it's series of on shore and off shore cold fronts makes for some fun days on the TX coast.  Below is a sample from mid Oct along with a shot from the Acuratz cam showing what happens when the off shores hit like a freight train.

Arlene brought us some nice Gliders!

Nice to have some groundswell in June.  Some days had easty winds favoring westsides of Jetties or piers on the upper coast.  Here's a few wave shots from June 30, 2011. Lot's of miles of rideable thump from way down south.

June 23 aquafied fun!

Aloha Friday the 13th of May 2011

Killer swell with light offshores, inside tubes and all out awesome day at the beach!  Saw lot's of shortboarders getting barreled and some great walls from far out for the Longboard guys.  One of the best days I've seen this spring! Mother nature please bring more of this kind of Aloha...please!

Mondays can be swell...just ask these folks.

5 2 2011 was a great day if you surf Texas and made it down to the beach.  Solid swell all day with moderate offshores.

4 27 11 Surf Happens...did you?

Moderate offshores all day after about early morning with solid swell.  Waist, Chest some bigger maybe even almost head high.  Some great curls, walls, lips and full on liquified fun.  I'll take an encore performance please!  Last thre photos borrowed from acuratz. Subscribe, ride, enjoy and show some Texas glide pride

4 11 2011 Offshores!

Hit it before and after the offshores rolled in.  Fun glide to start of the week.  Still some left after we got out!

4 4 11 Major blast.

It blew hard from the sw and then wham 30mph with 38mph offshore gusts.  Scrambled inot some and at times felt like riding on air turbulance in a jet plane.  Others were more kind and gave some long walls with mini tubes you could crouch into.  Sure beats the flats of summer!

Surf Happens!  Wed 3 23 11 & Thurs 3 24(no pics)

Pre frontal clean glide followed with an early am offshore glide in select locals on thurs.  Spring has sprung!

Small but fun in the right spot Sunday 3 20 11

Surf was crossed up and weak on the cam and then a friend gave us a report from this spot.  Loggable and fairly smooth.  A group of porpoises put on a quick show and one swam between our boards about 5" away.  These were light gray ones,  Usually they are more charcoal.  Always great when they drop in on a session.  Water warming up nice too.

Another good Monday 3 14 2011

After the offshores hit and the rain let up we got a few shots.  Bigger before.

Monday 2 28 2011 Nice conditions all day!

Now this is the right way to start off a week!

2-17-11 Foggy Aloha friday fun! Nice sandy new beach!  Crazy weather...

Woke up to heavy fog and some nice waves with civilized wind.  Later the sun came out and then out of nowhere the fog covered us over in about 3 seconds making the it hard to spot waves or anything over 50 feet away.

1-25-2011

Sometimes Mother Nature sneaks some in on us.  Didn't even bother to check the cam til about 11am after all the rain and 36+ hours of offhsore.   Surfside had waist plus. Nice lined up peelers with 4 of us out who took a chance on what looked to be small on the cam.  Cold temps kept the session time at about 1.5 hours til the stiffness from cold limbs set in. Never the less some unexpected great rides.  Wintertime stoke!
Check out the nice new beach which is almost to the corner in Beach drive.  No more climbing down rocks into backwashing slop.  So come on down with the family.

11 29 2010 Light winds and warm temps - get it while it lasts!

10 26-27 2010 More clean gliders!

10 24 2010 Clean lines, light wind, warm weather provided some nice fall fun.

10/11-12/2010 Sometimes the Picture doesn't tell the story...

Lured by the nice weather and water temps for a last taste of summer before fall ends was the reason.  Upon arriving at the beach Monday it looked textured and a bit small/weak with afternoon winds, but once out in the line up some fun rides that bumped up to occasional waist or plus peaks.  Tuesday brought what looked too small on the surfcams, but once in the water nice smooth lines with occasional waist high gliders and smooth easy paddle outs.  Only a few friends out sharing the fun -priceless & awesome!

Nice Small Kine fun if you knew where to look on 10/4-5/2010

Thigh to waist fall fun if you could avoid the wind.

Nice Litle gliders 9 24-25 2010

Warm water and moderate wind for some all day fun if you knew where to look.

Clean Glide All Day 9 9 2010

Light winds and a bit o swell left from Hermine made for some smooth fall fun.

Early Fall fun 9 3 2010

Winds backed down and made for some fun glide.  Water was fairly clear and refreshing -no oil here!.

Summertime Glide 7/24/10

Good summer fun that lasted into the afternoon. Winds stayed light most the day and the water looked and felt nice.  Let's hope for more!

Surfside 5/2/2010 solid groundswell with some punch.

These shots are late in the day and it still had some punch in the waist plus range.  Bigger earlier with sets head high at times.  A great day for all size boards as the waves had a lot of power similar to Cali or Hawaii on smaller swells.  If you rode too far in it was a good paddle to get back out.  Been 2 great swells on the weekends now, so most surfers could get some!  Keep it comin' mother nature!

Surfside 4/25/2010 day 2 of epic offshore wind groundswell fun!

Surfside 4/24/2010 Epic fun
